2014 Conference on the Beach

ANCIENT CITY ROMANCE AUTHORS
FICTION WRITERS’ CONFERENCE ON THE BEACH
"The best little conference in North Florida"

September 26 & 27, 2014
Hampton Inn, St Augustine Beach

Anyone who has ever attended one of our conferences knows they are not your run-of-the-mill writers’ conferences. We strive very year to make our conference different and an experience that our attendees will take home with them and remember with a smile. This year’s conference will be no different.

We have two goals for our attendees:
1) That they go home with more tools in their writers’ tool box to write the best books they can; and
2) That for two days they have fun while learning their craft.

To that end we have a new schedule planned with some of the best speakers we could find. Our theme this year is Wine and Roses. Roses being the wonderful, special people who come every year to celebrate the business of writing with us, and the wine being the universal toast to our success.

New York Times best-selling author Heather Graham will be our featured speaker.

Added to that is  Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Detective Tommy Henniger, who will be speaking on the emotional impact of his job on a police officer’s family.

Elizabeth Sinclair will be doing a workshop on Internalization: the Voice Within.

Kellie Sharpe, owner and publisher of Salt Run Publishing, will be speaking on indie publishing your own books. She will also be taking appointments to pitch your backlist titles for re-release with SRP.

Our keynote speaker is Danielle Childers, ace Marketing Director for Bell Bridge Books. Danielle will also be taking appointments with anyone who wishes to pick her brain about how to market their books.

Added to the above is a planned Friday afternoon tour of San Sebastian Winery, the elite winery of St Augustine. Admission is free and there will be some sampling. As always, there will also be raffles (great baskets and critiques), goody bags, a scrumptious Friday night reception and Saturday lunch, and special surprises.

We also have some special things planned, the kind that makes our conference the best little conference in North Florida!
In addition to all the above, registration includes lunch on Saturday, critique raffles by published authors, agents and editors, our famous theme baskets and lots of fabulous goodies.

Special door prize:
A complete CD set of
2013 RWA Conference Workshop Recordings.
